OBJECTIVE
The Salvation Army tasked our team with developing an existing site into an extensive campus including a new headquarters office building to house their teams, a residential building meant to serve short-term transitional housing needs, as well as a CORP building that included a chapel, gym, classrooms, administration and student housing. The site also needed to maintain a senior housing building and a comprehensive rezoning application process was required to allow the new building types.
ACTIONS
My role as Job Captain included zone studies, code research and zoning department coordination for rezoning efforts, creation of the SketchUp base site model with surrounding context, conceptual architectural models of each new building and creation of Revit model for floor plan generation.
IMPACT
Rezoning efforts resulted in the City of Denver rezoning the site to allow for the proposed use by The Salvation Army permitting the project to move forward as designed.
