Our project team was tasked with exploring 5 master plan options to include both renovation of existing buildings and full scrapes of the existing site to construct a new campus.
Our first round of exploration informed the team to continue with two main options. The first option included a western facing main sanctuary flanked on either side by support spaces. The second option included a southern facing sanctuary with exposed views to the west and both a northern and southern support wing. Both options included phased approaches to initially support the current congregation's population as well as a future phase to support congregation growth.
My role as job captain included leading internal charrette sessions to develop conceptual designs, collaboration with partnering civil engineers to create comprehensive design packages, client communication to ensure targeted design presentations, creation of project imagery, diagrams and full presentations to include 3D modeling in SketchUp and Revit for conceptual renderings, site plans and floor plans.
Client satisfaction resulted in award of Phase 1 implementation project worth $25 million.
