OBJECTIVE
Renovation of the existing hybrid OR was required to upgrade surgical equipment and maintain code requirements. This project included integration of Stryker booms, GE imaging equipment and SLD ceiling AirFRAME system. It also included up-sizing of existing MEP systems to accommodate a larger sized OR. The project scope involved the hybrid OR, associated storage space, systems component room, control room, and refit of central and sterile supply to accommodate appropriate egress requirements.
ACTIONS
My role as Project Architect included coordination with all equipment vendors, sub-consultants and client team, management of Revit model standards, submittal of drawings for permit review to state and city agencies, managing GC bidding process, and executing CA.
IMPACT
Client satisfaction resulted in being awarded additional OR renovations within the same operating suite, as well as a continued master agreement with the hospital for small projects moving forward.
